Our main tools for this project were Quanser Labs and the Raspberry Pi.

For our simulation, Quanser Labs (Q-Labs) was used to simulate the waste disposal facility environment. This environment was highly realistic and behaved quite similarly to how its real-life counterpart would.

For the raw code, Python was used via the powerful yet miniscule Raspberry Pi, which was virtually connected to the Q-Labs. We used special, custom Q-Lab libraries in Python for controlling the various elements of the simulation environment.
